Jam Charter
Working Title
Greenhouse Notes
Intent
Make a private idle gardening prototype about slowly turning anxiety around plants and insects into observation, care, and curiosity.
Core Question
Can the loop of planting, waiting, caring, blooming, harvesting, and recording visitors feel satisfying in a tiny local prototype?
Boundaries
This is a private house jam. It is not public, not commercial, not submitted to a jam, and not connected to any external service.
Prototype Promise
The garden should not punish absence harshly. Plants may pause or grow slowly when neglected, but the tone should remain gentle.
First Loop
Seeds -> plant -> water -> grow -> bloom -> harvest -> unlock more planting.
Visitor Loop
Plant conditions -> visitor appears -> observe visitor -> gain notes -> fill codex -> understand garden ecology.
First Version Rules
- Keep the first version small enough to finish.
- Add only one system at a time.
- Prefer readable mechanics over realism.
- Treat insects as visitors or ecological signals, not jump scares.
- Put tempting ideas into "later" unless they improve the current loop.
